From: Mammary tumors alter the fecal bacteriome and permit enteric bacterial translocation

Mammary tumors impair markers of colonic barrier integrity. Tumor-bearing mice have decreased colonic expression of tight junction proteins Claudin 1 (Cldn1, A) and Occludin (Ocln) (B). Resected mice have reduced Ocln expression and tend to have reduced expression of Cldn1.
